Crewe Diesel Depot pays host to 56121, 47362, 33019, a couple of 25s and an 08, on the 27th May 1986.

I saw very few of the Cardiff to Crewe and Manchester workings when they were hauled by Cardiff-based 37/4s. So after much work in Photoshop, I present 37429 "Eistedfodd Genedlaethol" arriving at Crewe on the 15th September 1988 with a morning train to Manchester.

The 20th May 1995 was "North Wales Coast Motive Power Day". Towards the end of the day 31521 & 31105 approach Waverton with the 18.00 Crewe to Chester

The sun was shining throughout our journey from West Yorkshire to this location. However, you get yourself to where the action is, freeze your balls off and then the train turns up in conditions like this! Ah well, all in a day's work I suppose! 60042 nears Northwich station on the 19th November 2005 at the rear of the "Guild & Docker" in the aforementioned freezing and foggy (localised) weather.

There were (are) some good photographic locations away from the actual coast, from which to take pictures of the services to Holyhead and Bangor. One such was (is) Hargrave. Here 37401 "Mary, Queen of Scots" heads for Crewe on the 16th October 1999, with 1G97 Bangor to Birmingham New Street.
